About CASINDI
What is CASINDI?
CASINDI is a chemical supplier discovery platform for commercially available chemicals, built around CAS-number-based supplier discovery.
Is CASINDI a marketplace?
No. CASINDI is a product-visibility and supplier-discovery platform. Buyers and suppliers connect through the available supplier information; commercial transactions take place outside CASINDI.
What types of chemicals can be searched on CASINDI?
CASINDI is not restricted to one chemical category. Commercially available chemicals with assigned CAS Numbers can be published and searched across categories such as pharmaceutical intermediates, Key Starting Materials (KSMs), specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, cosmetic ingredients, electronic chemicals, rubber chemicals and other commercial chemicals. Read more about chemical discovery.
Do I need to know the chemical category before searching?
No. The CAS Number is the key search input. A buyer can search using the CAS Number without first identifying the chemical category.
For Buyers
What can I see before redeeming a CAS Number?
Before redemption, the buyer can see supplier availability by country and supplier type, including the number of available suppliers. Supplier and company names remain hidden until the CAS record is redeemed.
What supplier types are shown on CASINDI?
Supplier availability can include Manufacturers, Contract Manufacturers and Traders.
When is a CAS Search counted against my plan?
Simply searching for a CAS Number does not consume your available CAS Searches. A CAS Search is counted against your plan only when you redeem the CAS record to access the available supplier information.
Does searching the same CAS Number again consume another CAS Search?
No. If you have already redeemed a CAS Number, searching it again takes you back to the redeemed CAS record and enables you to access and download the available data without consuming another CAS Search.
What happens after I redeem a CAS Number?
After redemption, the available supplier information for that CAS Number becomes accessible. You can download the supplier data from the CASINDI portal and connect directly with the suppliers.
How is the redeemed supplier data provided?
One downloadable Excel containing the available supplier information for the redeemed CAS Number is generated. You can download the Excel from the CASINDI portal, and the same file is also sent as an attachment to your registered email address.
What information can a redeemed supplier record contain?
Depending on the information available in the CASINDI database, the record can include supplier/company information, country, supplier type, email, website and other available contact details, together with the relevant CAS Number and product information.
Free Trial & Subscriptions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. CASINDI provides a 1-day Free Trial with 10 CAS Searches and 1 Download. No credit card is required.
What subscription plans are available?
CASINDI currently provides Starter, Annual and Premium subscription plans in addition to the Free Trial. The plans differ in validity, CAS Searches, product-upload capacity and access to Surplus Stock upload. Compare plans.
Do paid plans allow unlimited downloads?
Yes. Starter, Annual and Premium plans provide unlimited downloads for CAS records redeemed within the applicable plan entitlement.
Does my subscription need to remain active to access previously redeemed CAS records?
Previously redeemed CAS records remain accessible for 12 months from the subscription expiry date. However, a valid subscription is required to make new CAS redemptions.
For Suppliers
Who can register as a supplier on CASINDI?
Manufacturers, Contract Manufacturers and Traders can register and upload their commercially available products. A registered company selects one supplier type: Manufacturer, Contract Manufacturer or Trader. Read how supplier listings work.

What company name should I provide when registering on CASINDI?
Enter your complete legal company name exactly as registered under the applicable company/tax registration. Accurate company information ensures that uploaded products are displayed under the correct company identity.
Can overseas companies subscribe and list products?

How many products can a supplier upload?
The current product-upload capacities are: Starter Pack 50 products, Annual Pack 250 products, Premium Pack 500 products.
What happens to my approved product listings when my subscription expires?
Approved product listings continue to remain visible and searchable on CASINDI after subscription expiry. However, you cannot add new products, edit existing listings or delete products until the subscription is renewed.
What happens when I renew my supplier subscription?
Normal listing management becomes available again after renewal. Any unused product-upload availability is carried forward after renewal.
Are all suppliers appearing in CASINDI search results self-registered suppliers?
No. The database includes CASINDI-collected and maintained supplier information as well as information from companies registered on the platform.
